I haven’t been this excited about learning something new in a while. Lately, I’ve been diving into AI, trying to understand how it works rather than just using it.
What started as curiosity turned into late nights reading, weekends testing, breaking things, and eventually building my own AI assistant: RaphAQ. Got it?
It’s nothing fancy. A RAG app with a local LLM, vector search, and a FAISS index. But the first time it actually answered something on its own, I sat there smiling like an idiot.
It reminded me how much I love being a technologist. Not knowing how something works, wanting to figure it out, and getting that little spark when it finally clicks.
No matter how far we go in our careers, staying curious matters. We never really stop learning. We just find new things worth getting excited about.
