I spent weeks trying to make FluxxoAI more agentic by throwing more agents at the problem. More concurrency, more parallel work, a whole swarm. The output didn’t get better. It got noisier, faster.
The improvement came when I stopped adding agents and focused on orchestration. I built a simple, specialized feedback loop: create, critique, improve, and validate.
That sequence did more for quality than the extra parallelism had. Each step had a purpose, and the result of one step shaped what happened next.
I had confused agentic behavior with parallel execution. Parallelism is one pattern, not the point of the system. The useful decisions were when to chain the work, when to judge the result, and what needed to happen next.
In this case, doing ten things at once was less useful than getting the sequence right.
